Homer and Hesiod and the Attic [Greeks] [mean by epialtes] the demon [of that name], but with a phi [they spell the name of] the man Ephialtes. And [sc. note also] that which is called ague.
Ἐπιάλτην· Ὅμηρος καὶ Ἡσίοδος καὶ οἱ Ἀττικοὶ τὸν δαίμονα, διὰ δὲ τοῦ φ τὸν ἄνδρα Ἐφιάλτην. καὶ τὸ ῥιγοπύρετος λεγόμενον.
