[Meaning] lard. "A fig-leaf baked thoroughly with ox fat". A dish made with brains [wrapped] in fig-leaves, that is, in the leaves of the fig-tree.
Δημός· τὸ λίπος. δημοῦ βοείου θρῖον ἐξωπτημένον. σκεύασμά τι μετὰ ἐγκεφάλου γινόμενον ἐν τοῖς θρίοις, τουτέστι τοῖς φύλλοις τῆς συκῆς.
