[Meaning] bran, and the infusions of barleycorns; the chaff, or [likewise] of wheat-grains. Or where the parched-barleys are roasted. Parched-barleys are the barleycorns that are ground.
Κυρήβια· πίτυρα, καὶ τὰ τῶν κριθῶν ἀποβρέγματα· τὰ ἄχυρα, ἢ τῶν πυρῶν. ἢ ἔνθα αἱ κάχρυς φρύγονται. κάχρυς δὲ εἰσὶν αἱ ἀληλεσμέναι κριθαί.
