workshop
[Meaning a place] in which certain things are manufactured. Polybius [writes]: "there was no possibility -- as Xenophon puts it -- that someone could have seen that city and not called it a workshop of war".
Ἐργαστήριον· ἐν ᾧ τινα ἐργάζονται. Πολύβιος· οὐκ ἔστι, κατὰ τὸν Ξενοφῶντα, ὃς θεασάμενος τὴν πόλιν ἐκείνην οὐκ ἂν εἶπε πολέμου ἐργαστήριον.
