[Meaning] to bend over and extend the buttock naked. Philippus [sc. uses the word thus]. But Thucydides [sc. uses it to mean] making the ships swerve.
Ἀποσιμῶσαι· τὸ ἐπικύψαι καὶ τὴν πυγὴν προθεῖναι γυμνήν. Φίλιππος. Θουκυδίδης δὲ τὸ μετεωρίσαι τὰς ναῦς.
