to grow old
[ghra=nai is the same as] ghra/sai. And [there is] a proverb: "as I grow old I always learn many things", in reference to those more experienced because of age.
Γηρᾶναι· γηρᾶσαι. καὶ παροιμία· Γηράσκω δ' αἰεὶ πολλὰ διδασκόμενος, ἐπὶ τῶν διὰ γῆρας ἐμπειροτέρων.
