ε2037Ἐπεκήρυξαν
they proclaimed
[Meaning] they spoke clearly and forcefully. "They also proclaimed that they would give a talent to the informant." And elsewhere: "they, unable to hold out against the thirst, sent a messenger by herald."
Ἐπεκήρυξαν· διασήμως καὶ διαπρυσίως ἐλάλησαν. καὶ ἐπεκήρυξάν τε τάλαντον δώσειν τῷ μηνύσαντι. καὶ αὖθις· οἱ δὲ ἀντισχεῖν τῷ δίψει μὴ δυνηθέντες ἐπεκηρυκεύσαντο.
