Properly [this means the] sound of fire. "And a heavy roar of a nimble drum." In the Epigrams. And elsewhere: "no longer will you settle the roar of the winds, nor the hailstorm."
Βρόμος· ἦχος πυρὸς κυρίως. καὶ κούφοιο βαρὺν τυμπάνου βρόμον. ἐν Ἐπιγράμμασι. καὶ αὖθις· οὐκέτι κοιμίσεις ἀνέμων βρόμον, οὐχὶ χάλαζαν.
