[Meaning] desired. Agathias [writes]: "the Franks were pressing mercilessly, so as to capture Narses alive and to bring on with little pain the prayed-for ending to the whole battle".
Εὐκτόν· ἐπιθυμητικόν. Ἀγαθίας· οἱ δὲ Φράγκοι ἀφειδῶς ἐνέκειντο, ὡς τὸν Ναρσῆν ζωγρήσαντες καὶ πόνῳ ξὺν βραχεῖ πέρας εὐκτὸν ἐπιθήσοντες ἅπαντι τῷ πολέμῳ.
