A kind of fruit. Plato said a)pi/ous in Laws. It occurs also in Alexis and in Savages of Pherecrates: "grab the pears before stirring [them] up."
Ἄπια· εἶδος ὀπώρας. Ἀπίους εἴρηκε Πλάτων ἐν Νόμοις. ἔστι καὶ παρὰ Ἀλέξιδι καὶ ἐν Ἀγρίοις Φερεκράτους· πρὶν ἀνακυκῆσαι τοὺς ἀπίους ἁρπάζετε.
