Translation

[Used] with a dative.¹ [Meaning he] convicting. Procopius [writes]: "[...] and bringing against him the charge that he really did tell the truth as little as possible, he cut off both of his two hands."²

Ἐπενεγκών· δοτικῇ. καταδικάσας. Προκόπιος· ἐπενεγκών τε αὐτῷ, ὅτι δὴ ὡς ἥκιστα ἀληθίζεται, ἄμφω τὼ χεῖρε ἀπέκοψεν.

The headword is the aorist active participle, masculine nominative singular, of the compound verb e)pife/rw. (For this sense of it see generally LSJ s.v., I.3.) It is perhaps extracted from the quotation given here, though there are numerous extant alternatives.
