Notes
- The headword phrase is presumably quoted from somewhere, indeterminable.
Erigone was the name of several ill-starred women in Greek, especially Athenian, mythology (Emily Kearns in OCD(4) s.v.) who shared in common a death by hanging. One was the daughter of Ikarios (iota 256), who featured in the foundation-myth of the Anthesteria festival.
For tragedies of this name, by Sophocles and others, see under kappa 1730, tau 773, phi 378, phi 765.
