Translation

Name of a robber, who operated around Eleusis↗ and compelled passers-by to wrestle with him.¹
[Note] that what is now called Kerkyra used to be called Phaiakia, the land of the Phaiakians.²

Κερκυών· ὄνομα λῃστοῦ, ὅστις διῆγε περὶ τὴν Ἐλευσῖνα καὶ τοὺς παρερχομένους ἠνάγκαζε παλαίειν αὐτῷ. ὅτι τὰ νῦν λεγόμενα Κέρκυρα Φαιακία τὸ πρότερον ἐκαλεῖτο, χώρα τῶν Φαιάκων.

[1] In Apollodorus, Library, epitome 3, Kerkyon is one of the six hazards of the Argos [Myth, Place]-to-Athens road disposed of by Theseus.
