Polybios [writes]: "this [they were] understanding to be better and more/rather urgent, something neither in occasion/opportunity nor in the oratorical and exhortatory dispositions [?failing to?] surpass the opponents."
Διατατικώτερον· Πολύβιος· τοῦτ' ἄμεινον ὑπολαμβάνοντες εἶναι καὶ διατατικώτερον, τὸ μήτε τῷ καιρῷ μήτε ταῖς ἐκκλησιαστικαῖς καὶ παραστατικαῖς διαθέσεσι περιγίνεσθαι τῶν ἐναντίων.
