[Meaning] complicatedly. Agathias [writes]: "[Narses] brought the ambassadors into the arena with their hands crosswise and tightly bound behind their waist and their heads bent forward to the ground".
Ἐναλλάγδην· συμπεπλεγμένως. Ἀγαθίας· παρήγαγε δὲ τοὺς πρέσβεις ἐς μέσον ἐναλλάγδην τὼ χεῖρε ὑπὸ τὴν ἰξὺν περιεσφιγμένους, κάτω δὲ τὸ κάρα ἐπινενευκότας.
