I bear a grudge against you
[sc. The verb is used] always [so, i.e. with a dative]. But Libanius [uses it] with an accusative: "they bear a grudge against their relative."
Βασκαίνω σοι ἀεί· ὁ δὲ Λιβάνιος αἰτιατικῇ· τὸν προσήκοντα βασκαίνουσι.
