Translation

[Meaning] to open up. Homer [sc. uses the word].¹ Herodotos also [sc. uses it] thus.²
"They did not dare to turn back the door, nor be strong enough to go inside."³

Ἀνακλῖναι· ἀνοῖξαι. Ὅμηρος. οὕτως καὶ Ἡρόδοτος. οἱ δὲ ἀνακλῖναι μὲν τὴν θύραν οὐκ ἐτόλμησαν, οὐδ' εἴσω παρελθεῖν ἰσχύσαι.
