Translation
An Athenian, a comic poet, younger than Panaitios.1 There is also another Antiphanes, a Carystian, distinct [sc. from the above], who lived in the time of Thespis.2

Ἀντιφάνης, Ἀθηναῖος, κωμικὸς, νεώτερος τοῦ Παναιτίου. ἔστι δὲ καὶ ἕτερος Ἀντιφάνης, Καρύστιος, τρανὸς, κατὰ Θέσπιν γεγονὼς τοῖς χρόνοις. καὶ Ἀντιφάνειος κωμῳδία, τοῦ Ἀντιφάνους.
