The origin of the glossing in unidentifiable. For the same word in another context, magistrates of the Achaean League, see Polybius 10.23.9, 16.36.3-4; and in fact (as Adler notes) Toup and Hemsterhuis wanted to emend 'of the Judaeans' in the present entry to 'of the Achaeans'.
