Translation

[sc. Is an adverb meaning] dropping fast, with much weeping.¹
"Escorting the corpse he wept not by drops."²
And elsewhere: "wailing not by drops we came away with the maidens."³

Ἀστακτί· πολυστακτὶ, πολυδακρύτως. τὸν νεκρὸν παραπέμπων ἔκλαιεν ἀστακτί. καὶ αὖθις· ἀστακτὶ δὲ σὺν ταῖς παρθένοις στένοντες ὡμαρτοῦμεν.
