Translation

Demosthenes in the Funeral Speech -- if it is really by him -- [mentions them].¹ There is a tribe Aigeis [sc. in Athens↗ named] from Aigeus² the son of Pandion, and its tribesmen [are] Aigeids.
Also [sc. attested is] Aigeides, [meaning] the son of Aigeus.³

Αἰγεῖδαι· Δημοσθένης ἐν τῷ Ἐπιταφίῳ, εἰ γνήσιός ἐστιν. ἔστι δὲ Αἰγηὶς φυλὴ ἀπὸ Αἰγέως τοῦ Πανδίωνος, ἧς οἱ φυλέται Αἰγεῖδαι. καὶ Αἰγείδης, ὁ τοῦ Αἰγέως παῖς.
