Δίκαιος

One of the saints said: "we do not all beg to save others, but ourselves we all always do."¹ And another [says]: "saving save your own soul."² And the Prophet [says] as if speaking from God: "when the righteous man turns from his righteousness to do unrighteousness, all his righteous deeds, which he has done, shall not be remembered; in his sin he shall die."³ "And the righteousness of the righteous man shall not deliver him, on the day when he goes astray."⁴
