Translation
[sc. A term for] the transporting faculty of things that can be smelled in Theophrastus.1 The sense organ is not the nose, but the mastoid apophysis of the brain.

Δίοσμος· ἡ διαπορθμευτικὴ δύναμις τῶν ὀσφραντῶν παρὰ Θεοφράστῳ. οὐκ ἔστι δὲ ἡ ῥὶς τὸ αἰσθητήριον, ἀλλ' ἡ μαστοειδὴς τοῦ ἐγκεφάλου ἀπόθεσις.
