Notes
- Same entry, according to Adler, in Lexicon Ambrosianum 965.
The headword is third person singular, present indicative active, of the verbdokeu/w (LSJ at web address 1). It occurs four times at the end of Homeric hexameters, and the present gloss is given in the scholia to two of them, Iliad 18.488 and 23.325. See also Apollonius the Sophist, Homeric Lexicon 60.14, with the same gloss; ps.-Herodian 1.20, 2.723, and cf. Etymologicum Magnum 281.45 (glossfula/ttesqai, prosde/xesqai ); Hesychius delta2113 (glossthrei=n, fula/ssein, e)pithrei=n, prosdoka=n ).
