Translation

"When she consorted with her lovers as a courtesan she used to demand fees that were hefty, raising the value of what she demanded for her companionship, because of her inability to do what she wanted openly."¹ ['Raising the value' means] increasing the price.

Ἐπιτιμῶσα· τοῖς μὲν ἐρασθεῖσιν ὡς ἑταίρα συνῆν ἁδροὺς αἰτοῦσα τοὺς μισθούς, ἐπιτιμῶσα τὴν ὑπὲρ τῆς ὁμιλίας αἴτησιν, διὰ τὸ μὴ ἐξεῖναι δρᾶν ἐμφανῶς ἃ ἐθέλει. βαρύνουσα τὴν τιμήν.

The headword, a present participle in the feminine nominative singular, is presumably extracted from the quotation given.
1Quotation unidentifiable, though Adler suggested Aelian as a possible source, and Aelian is indeed fond of the (unusual) expression "hefty fee/pay" (a(dro\s misqo/s); so e.g. Varia Historia 12.63, on the courtesan Archedike 'in Naukratis'. The present instance, though, concerns a women who covertly behaves like a courtesan without actually being one.
