Translation
A philosopher, father of Ammonios and Heliodoros, the teachers of Damaskios. Hermeias was an especially close friend to Aigyptos, the brother of Theodote, mother of Isidoros the philosopher. Aigyptos was a lover of learning.

Ἑρμείας, φιλόσοφος, Ἀμμωνίου καὶ Ἡλιοδώρου, τῶν διδασκάλων Δαμασκίου, πατήρ. ἦν δὲ ὁ Ἑρμείας φίλος ἐς τὰ μάλιστα Αἰγύπτῳ, ἀδελφῷ Θεοδότης, μητρὸς Ἰσιδώρου φιλοσόφου. ὁ δὲ Αἴγυπτος ἦν φιλομαθής.
