Translation
The one who became [a proxenos] by himself, not after instruction by the city. For the [ordinary] proxenoi were under instruction from their own city.

Ἐθελοπρόξενος· ὁ ἀφ' ἑαυτοῦ γενόμενος καὶ μὴ κελευσθεὶς ἐκ τῆς πόλεως. οἱ γὰρ πρόξενοι κελευόμενοι ἐκ τῆς ἑαυτῶν πόλεως ἐγίνοντο.
