Notes
- Attested as such only in lexicography (including, according to Adler, Ambrosian Lexicon 119). Of uncertain location. The equivalent entry in ps.-Zonaras glosses 'Name of a place, and a mountain near Ephesus'. Other possibilities are Galessos, on the Aegean island of Syros, and (more speculatively) Mount Alesion in Arcadia (Barrington Atlas map 58 grid C2) and the (H)alesion Plain in the Troad (map 56 grid C2).
