[Alope]; and [the cognate adjective] Alopeian. A daughter of Kerkyon, from whom [was born] Hippothoon, son of Poseidon, the eponym of the [Attic] tribe Hippothoontis.
Ἀλόπη· καὶ Ἀλόπηος. Κερκυόνος θυγάτηρ, ἐξ ἧς καὶ Ποσειδῶνος Ἱπποθόων, ὁ τῆς Ἱπποθοωντίδος φυλῆς ἐπώνυμος.
