[Meaning (?)land] by the sea. In the Epigrams: "these gifts to you from a seashore profit." And elsewhere: "and I/they saw a crowd of seashore frogs."
Ἀκταίη· ἡ παραθαλασσία. ἐν Ἐπιγράμμασι· δῶρα παρ' ἀκταίης σοὶ τάδ' ἐπωφελίης. καὶ αὖθις· καὶ βατράχων ὅμιλον εἶδον ἀκταίων.
