Translation

[Meaning] unholy, one who is mired in defilement and a wrongdoer against gods. Aristophanes in Knights [writes]: "I say you were born out of those sinning against the goddess [sc. Athena]."¹

Ἀλιτήριος· ἀνόσιος, ὁ ἐνεχόμενος μιάσματι καὶ ἐξημαρτηκὼς εἰς θεούς. Ἀριστοφάνης Ἱππεῦσιν· ἐκ τῶν ἀλιτηρίων σέ φημι γεγονέναι τῶν τῆς θεοῦ.
