Ἄμητα

Milk-cake,¹ a type of cake mixed with milk. Aristophanes in Wealth [writes]: "having sent back this milk-cake for us."² Not only because he did not take the gifts; he also sent home for another flat-cake for me beforehand. As if to say that I should no longer tread there. So a)/mhs [is] the cake, not the oven.³
