Translation
[Meaning] the water flowing into a ship. Aristophanes [writes]: "for I can no longer bear the bilge-water."1 Meaning [I can no longer] endure and survive this thing.

Ἀντλία· τὸ τοῦ πλοίου εἰσρέον ὕδωρ. Ἀριστοφάνης· οὐ γὰρ ἔθ' οἷός τ' εἴμ' ὑπερέχειν τῆς ἀντλίας. ἀντὶ τοῦ ἀντέχειν καὶ περιγίνεσθαι τοῦ πράγματος.
