Translation

Among Libyans [this is] like a birthday-celebration of the city, and a Theodaisia festival,¹ in which they used to honor Dionysus and the Nymphs; it seems to me they are hinting at both unmixed [wine] and the good mixture.²

Ἀστυδρόμια· παρὰ Λίβυσιν οἱονεὶ τῆς πόλεως γενέθλια, καὶ Θεοδαίσια ἑορτὴ, ἐν ᾗ ἐτίμων Διόνυσον καὶ τὰς Νύμφας· ἐμοὶ δοκεῖν, νηφάλιόν τε καὶ τὴν ἀγαθὴν κρᾶσιν αἰνιττόμενοι.

The headword, a feminine noun, occurs only here (and is not in LSJ), though cf. the cognate verb in Aeschylus, Seven Against Thebes 220-1: ta/nd a)studromoume/nan po/lin, literally "this city with people running through the town".
