Translation

[Meaning] one slackening [xalw=n] the wits. Or by removal of the chi, in order that it would be, having enough unmixed [a(/lis a)/kraton];¹ that is, wine.
Also [sc. attested is] xalikrh/tw| ['in/with a pure' something], [meaning in one] not mixed. In the Epigrams: "she lay heavy with unmixed wine".²

Χαλίκρητος ποτός· ὁ χαλῶν τὰς φρένας. ἢ κατὰ στέρησιν τοῦ χ, ἵν' ᾖ, ἅλις ἄκρατον ἔχων· τουτέστιν οἶνον. καὶ Χαλικρήτῳ, μὴ κεκραμένῳ. ἐν Ἐπιγράμμασι· κεῖτο χαλικρήτῳ νάματι βριθομένη.
