Notes
- = Synagoge epsilon602, Photius epsilon1404.
The transmitted headword purports to be the dative plural ofe)peisfora/ , a word not recognized by LSJ but arguably synonymous withei)sfora/ (cf. epsiloniota 330). Outside lexicography, the word is attested only in Cyril of Alexandria (10 times) but not, apparently, with the connotation suggested by the gloss here. In any event, Theodoridis on Photius s.v. obelizese)peisforai=s , regarding it as a corruption ofe)piforai=s ('inflictions'): see epsilon 2751.
