Notes (3)

cf. tau 23.
1= Photius, Lexicon epsilon1801. Synagoge epsilon776 has the same gloss in the nominative singular. Here it is accusative plural, and while the headword could be either accusative or nominative plural, it is probably quoted from a passage in Aristophanes (see next note) where it is accusative. ↩
2Up to this point the entry = scholia to Aristophanes, Wasps 581 (web address 1), where the headword occurs. The headword incorporates the word for 'hand' (xei/r). ↩
3Aelian fr. 90 Hercher (93d Domingo-Forasté). Hercher, followed by Domingo-Forasté, collates this passage with other fragments found at alpha 968, alpha 4595, upsilon 456, alpha 905 and theta 164).
