Notes
- Same entry in ps.-Zonaras and, according to Adler, the Ambrosian Lexicon. (Hesychius epsilon709 has a parallel one with third-person singular aorists.) The headword, which must be quoted from somewhere, is imperfect indicative active -- either first person singular or third person plural -- of the verb
qwpeu/w (theta 433), 'flatter, fawn over, deceive by flattery' (LSJ entry at web address 1).
cf. under eta 159.
