- The meaning given to the headword here (as opposed to epsilon 3897 and epsilon 3899) is not attested in any occurrence of any form of the word. It is probably a mistake for
fh=los ('deceitful') or a back-formation from preterite forms of the verbfhlo/w ('deceive') with epsilon augment; cf. phi 265, phi 266.
