Translation
This is what they used to call men for hire, since they took up a position by the kolonos1 which is near the agora; where the shrines of Herakles and of Eurysakes are. This kolonos used to be called "of-the-agora". There was another kolonos next to the shrine of Poseidon; this one would be "of-the-horsemen".
