Notes (2)

  1. 1Aorist active infinitive of kaqi/hmi. Same glossing in other lexica. ↩
  2. 2A clumsy summary of Diogenes Laertius 6.13; the claim about beard-growing actually concerns not Antisthenes (alpha 2723) but another philosopher, Diodoros of Aspendos. For the idiom pw/gwna kaqei=nai see already Aristophanes, Ecclesiazusae 99-100, and generally LSJ s.v. kaqi/hmi. ↩
