Notes (3)

  1. 1The headword adverb -- which can also be spelled nhpoinei/ -- has the same or similar glossing in other lexica (references at Photius nu193 Theodoridis) and in a scholion on Plato, Laws 9.874C (where it occurs). ↩
  2. 2Quotation unidentifiable. (Adler suggests Aelian.) ↩
  3. 3Quotation (a clause in indirect speech, in which something like 'it was expected' is to be understood; lacking in ms F) again unidentifiable. (Adler again suggests Aelian.) ↩
