Translation

Pergase [is] a deme of [sc. the Athenian tribe] Erechtheis. They say, however, that there are two ways of speaking of the demesman: both *pergaseu/s ["Pergasian"] and *pergash=qen ["[a man] from Pergase"].

Upper and Lower Pergase were both near present-day Chelidonou. See Traill, 38 (with 126) and Whitehead, index s.v.
