- As Adler notes, a doublet of pi 3059, q.v. The headword is a misspelling of the personal name Ptoiodoros. Possibly a mistake resulting from oral dictation; in the Suda's time the vowels in the first syllable of each (
-oi- and-u- ) would have been indistinguishable.
