I denounce, I announce
[Used] with a genitive. "Perhaps he would denounce you before the law-giver [of the fasts]". But [sc. also attested] with a dative: "a day of mirth and joy announces [itself?] to one's own people after the fasts".
Καταγγέλλω· γενικῇ. μήποτέ σου καταγγείλῃ ἐπὶ τοῦ νομοθέτου. δοτικῇ δέ· εὐφροσύνης καὶ χαρᾶς ἡμέρα καταγγέλλει τοῖς ἰδίοις ἐκ τῶν νηστειῶν.
