"[Priscus] resolutely pledged to separate the horns [sc. of the battle-line] at once, and thus to await the barbarians." Meaning he commanded/ordered [this].
Ἐνεγύησεν· ὁ δὲ ἐνεγύησε κατὰ τὸ καρτερὸν τὰ κέρατα περισχίσαι αὐτίκα, οὕτω τε τοὺς βαρβάρους εἰσδέξασθαι. ἀντὶ τοῦ παρήγγειλεν.
