Translation
['To be at leisure'] and 'to have leisure', not to have opportunities [eu)kairei=n ], is what Attic writers say.
Greek original · Adler’s text
Σχολάζειν καὶ σχολὴν ἄγειν, οὐκ εὐκαιρεῖν λέγουσιν Ἀττικοί.
Betacode

Notes
- Likewise in the Synagoge and Photius' Lexicon, and similarly elsewhere. Cf. sigma 1796.
This disapproval ofeu)kairei=n is repeated under the main part of sigma 1802, though in a supplementary part of that entry its legitimate equivalence withsxola/zein appears to be conceded.
