Translation

[Meaning] traitorously.¹
And [the related verb] au)tomolh=sai ["to desert"] is to betray one's own men and to give up and to go over to the enemy in alliance.²
But au)to/molos ["deserter"] [is] one who seeks protection.³

Αὐτομόλως· προδοτικῶς. καὶ Αὐτομολῆσαί ἐστι τὸ προδοῦναι τοὺς ἰδίους καὶ ἐᾶσαι καὶ ἀπελθεῖν πρὸς τοὺς ὑπεναντίους ἐπὶ συμμαχίᾳ. Αὐτόμολος δὲ ὁ πρόσφυξ.
