Translation
[i.e.] xi/dron , the pulse that comes from millet, a foodstuff [eaten] in the area around Caria; it is from green barley. But some [sc. define it as] a type of plant. From this there is indication of a good season.

Χίδραν· χίδρον, τὸ ἀπὸ ἐλύμου γινόμενον ὄσπριον, ἔδεσμα περὶ Καρίαν, ἤτοι τὸ ἀπὸ χλωρῶν κριθῶν. οἱ δὲ εἶδος βοτάνης. ἐκ δὲ τούτου δηλοῖ τὴν εὐετηρίαν.
