Translation

[Meaning they] disguising. "The Scythopolitans lay low for two days, enticing their trust, but on the third night, having kept watch for the opportunity, they killed the man as he slept."¹

Δελεάζοντες· ἐπικρύπτοντες. οἱ δὲ Σκυθοπολῖται δύο ἡμέρας ἠρέμησαν τὴν πίστιν αὐτῶν δελεάζοντες, τῇ δὲ τρίτῃ νυκτὶ παρατηρήσαντες κοιμώμενον ἀνεῖλον.
